No Contracts Needed 2010
No Contracts Needed is about seeing new bands on a theatre stage as
they break into the fold. NCN promotes independent talent within
Massachusetts to music scene enthusiasts that are looking for the most
visually enhanced way to see local, independent bands play their
hearts out.

Simply put, Sour D's music gets you high on its perpetual groove. They
are a band that will make you laugh and dance to their reggae rock
tunes. Hailing from the 'burbs north of Boston, the band has a
following that will make a show at any venue worth seeing and chilling
at.
The Flo (theflo.net)
The Flo is a Boston based rock band with a sound that can be described
as "Experimental Progressive Rock Fusion with a Kung-Fu Grip." The
band, which met at the Univeristy of Vermont have been playing music
together for the better part of 6 years. In this time, The Flo has
bonded into a comfort zone that is now allowing them to be one of the
best bands that can jam in the city.

Travel Info is a groove oriented improvisational collaboration that
was started in early 2009 by six local musicians. While fusing
aspects of numerous genres such as Trance, Jazz, Funk and Rock, the
band creates an exciting dance friendly atmosphere at their live
shows. Over the past year, Travel Info has begun to build a strong,
loyal fanbase by playing at clubs in the Boston area.
NCN 10 Rompetition Winner (nocontractsneeded.com)
This year’s Rompetition will hold the fifty two band opening round
shows on February 11th, 12th, 13th, 18th, and 19th at McGann’s in
Boston and on February 20th at All Asia in Cambridge. Six finalists
and one wild card band will yield from the opening round shows. These
sevens acts will meet on March 6th at The Middle East Upstairs in the
finals. This year’s winner will not only have a spot on the No
Contracts Needed stage, but will also win two days of recording time
at Sanctum Sound and other prizes from No Contracts Needed’s sponsors.
